Delena Hills
Speech-Language Pathologist
Delena Hills, M.Sc., RSLP (C), is a RASP-Certified clinician, working with the Centre since 2017. Asante Centre focuses on providing services for diagnosis and intervention for individuals with neurodevelopmental differences including FASD. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia in Cognitive Systems: Linguistics and her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Eastern Washington University. Before joining Asante Centre in 2017, she worked and volunteered with children in a variety of ways since 2003 including as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a multidisciplinary team, Educational Assistant, Behaviour Interventionist, and group facilitator. She believes that therapy is most efficient when measurable goals are learned in a fun environment. Increasing verbal intelligibility, building spontaneous talking, and expanding vocabulary and social communication skills through play are some of her favourite goals to support. The reward of supporting people as they improve their quality of life is the reason why she loves her career in the field of Speech-Language Pathology.
