Meghan Schuurman

Special Projects Consultant

Meghan Schuurman is a new addition to the Asante Centre, taking on the role of Special Projects Consultant after moving to British Columbia from Ontario.

She is a registered social worker, with a Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. She focused her studies on child and youth mental health, and is passionate about supporting children, youth and families through challenging times.

Before working at Asante she ran a therapeutic drop-in visual arts program for young people facing systemic barriers, and loves combining creativity and social work.

When she is not walking alongside families at Asante, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and art-making.
